REPLY TO MR. FRASER

The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) has received the following cable from. M. Hubert Pierlot, Prime Minister of Belgium, in reply to New Zealand's ! congratulatory telegram on Belgium's [ National Day:— "I thank your Excellency warmly for the good wishes you have so kindly expressed on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand on the occasion of Belgium's Nfrtional Day. I have also been much touched by the sympathy which your Excellency has expressed for my oppressed compatriots. The people of Belgium are convinced that the impending victory, to which New Zealand will have contributed much, will make possible the establishment of a lasting peace."
