QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY
Tomorrow is the forty-fourth birthday of Queen Elizabeth. By wartime regulations no Royal Salutes are fired, but the occasion will be marked by the flying of flags. Daughter of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, the Lady Elizabeth Angela Marguerite married the King when he was Duke of York, and she became Queen when he ascended the Throne on December 11, 1936.
