COMPULSORY COAL ZONING
Sir,—ln the Hutt Valley coal is zoned. The Government denies this, but permits the whole of the coal merchants to combine and arrange mutuallly their own district, into which no other merchant will venture. The result is that many customers are victims to a system of delivery which leaves them at the mercy of one merchant because the coal control blandly shuts one eye to the needs of the customer -In the winter months for two years it has been extremely difficult to obtain conl at all; that is to say. sufficient coal. Bui these lust few months the consumer must pay fnr his fuel on ordcrint!. await anything from two to six weeks for delivery, i-hpi-i vcpfivp sonicthint; us coal which
