LAWLER—BENNETTS
1 A youthful gown of Avhile organdie frilled Avith Valenciennes lace and made with a full skirt and slight train Avas chosen by Shona Bennetts, younger daughter of Mrs. L. Bennetts, Wellington, for her marriage to Lieutenant HoAvard H. Lawler, U.S
army. With it she wore a French tulle veil, lent by Mrs. Cliff Pearce, aud carried a bouquet of frilled cyclamen and tuberoses. Misses Betty Burridge and Vera Wiren were bridesmaids. They Avore white organdie similar in style to the bridal gown and carried large v,*hile organdie picture hats filled with violets. The bride's niece, Suzanne Chapman, was flower girl. Her frock was a replica of the bridesmaids' and she carried a Victorian posy of violets. The ceremony took olace at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, which had been decorated by friends of the bride Avith beautiful spring floAvers. The Rev. D. J. Davies officiated. The bridegroom, who is the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Lawler, U.S.A., was attended by Lieutenant Bliss Woodland as best man and Major V. P. Cline as groomsman. Messrs. Bob Taylor and Jack Barr were ushers. The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Mr. J. L. Chapman. • A reception was held at tlie Grand Hotel, the guests being received .by the bride's mother and Mrs. J. L. Chapman. Booking- for Charity Ball. Booking' for gallery seats at the Town Hall on Iho occasion of the Charity Ball, Avhich will take place on August .11, will open at the D.I.C. on August 2. The proceeds from the ball will- go to the Metropolitan Patriotic Fund and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
