FLYING BOMB ACTIVITY

LONDON, July 12. It is officially announced in London that enemy activity by flying bombs for the 24 hours covering last night and today went on over southern England, with bombs falling in the London area during the daylight hours. Correspondents in one district report that robot planes came oftener than usual./ A number of them were shot down by R.A.F. pilots and anti-aircraft gunners. Casualties and damage were caused.

The R.A.F.'s big bombers were out this afternoon attacking flying-bomb installations in northern France.
