ADVANCE OF RED ARMY

BIGGEST IN NORTH

FAST WESTERN SWEEP

LONDON, July" 11

The Russians have now completed the destruction cf the enemy forces trapped cast of Minsk. Their biggest new gains have been along the northern part of the front where the First Baltic Army and the Third White Russian army are striking: into the Lithuanian Republic and towards East Prussia. Today they captured 150 more places in their drive south and south-west of Dvinsk..

While the outflanking move to the south-west of Dvinsk is being pressed, the Russians are closing in on the town from the south and south-east. They have swept on to the west on both sides of Vilna, and the city will soon be left well to the rear.

Fighting is going on inside Vilna, where the trapped garrison has been split up into scattered groups.
