; Vice-President Wallace, who has returned from the visit to Siberia and CHina, had an interview- with President Roosevelt.
■Later the Vice-President said they had had an important talk about China. He described the situation inside China as very grave.
Charged with wilfully setting fire to the Disabled Services' League- Training Building in Lloyd Street yesterday, CJarence Dcircy; Knewstub, press operator, 27, appeared"before' Mr. J. L. Stout, S,M., in the Magistrate's' -Court today. On the application-of-Detective Sergeant J. Thompson he was remanded ■•iiifh'til next Wednesday.
