HASTINGS FIXTURE
USEFUL FIELDS ENGAGED
The Patriotic Meeting of the Hawke's Bay Club will be/held at Hastings tomorrow,1 and, as the majority of the candidates raced last Saturday form should be fairly reliable. However, there are newcomers, including some due to come on to Trentham for the Wellington winter gathering. A seven-race programme was originally prepared, making it possible for the stewards to run tomorrow's divisions in the : maiden event as separate races,'' the second and fourth. No provision has been made for .the 'chasers, so only the hack classes are catered for in the hurdling section. The programme is an interesting one, and horses likely to> come into favour are:— Pacific Hack Hurdles.—Pompit, Combination, First Edition bracket. Victory Maiden. No. I.—Beheve, Silver Rod, Gynette.
