WASHINGTON, June 24. Because casualties in aerial combat are one-third less than was anticipated, the navy is reducing the number of trainees by about 50 per cent. The navy and Marine Corps pilpts' fine fighting qualities and superior training and equipment are said to be responsible for the low loss rate. ,
