ORGAN DEDICATED

A pipe organ installed in St. Anne's Anglican Church, Northland, was dedicated yesterday morning by the Bishop of Wellington (the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland). The church was crowded for the service, which was conducted by the vicar, the Rev. L. N. Watkins. In the course of his address, Bishop Holland, who said this was the first organ he had been called on to dedicate, traced the development of pipe organs through the centuries, and spoke of the glory and niajesty that was imparted to the worship of Almighty God by organ music. His Lordship urged all church people to pray for the speedy coming of the day when, besides the realm of music, there would be harmony as between peoples and international and racial discords would be no more.
