WELLINGTON CIVIC CENTRE

The Wellington Chamber of Commerce has appointed Messrs. W. H. Hindle and Barton Ginger to represent it at a meeting convened bs' the Town Planning Institute to consider a proposal for conducting a competition for a design for Wellington's civic centre.

Mr. E. J. Herrick was today elected chairman of the Napier Harbour Board in succession to Mr. T. M. Geddis, who has retired after twelve years' service, during which the deep-sea port of Napier was established, states a special message to the "Evening Post."
