ANNUAL ALLOCATION
A TOTAL OF £4700 The annual meeting; of the board which administers the £100,000 trust created by Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McKenzie in 1940 for charitable and educational purposes throughout the Dominion was held recently in Wellington. The chairman of the board, Mr. J. S. Barton, announced when presenting his report, that since the inception of the trust a total of approximately £15,000 had been disbursed in accordance with the provisions of, the trust deed. The allocations as approved by the board are as follows: — New Zealand Returned Services' Association, £500; New Zealand Red Cross Society (Inc.), £500; Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, including £300 for Maori Plunket nurses, £1300; Advisory Board Federation of Health. The board comprises eight members —a nominee of the Governor-General, a nominee of the Chief Justice, a nominee of the British Medical .Association, the District Governor of Rotary, and the presidents for the time being of the Auckland, Christchurch', Dunedin, and Wellington Rotary Clubs.
