FOURTEEN VESSELS
SUNK BY U.S. SUBMARINES, Rec. 2 p.m. WASHINGTON, May 12. - Submarines have sunk 14 more enemy vessels in the Pacific and Far Eastern waters. A navy communique lists the sinkings as ■ one destroyer, one large tanker, one medium tanker, one medium transport, one medium targo transport, seven medium cargo •ships, one small cago transport, and "one small cargo ship. American bombers bombed the landing strips on Kusaie Island and -Murillo. in the. Hall Islands.
