Shearer, 252 Sutherland Road, Lyall Bay, Wellington (s.). PILOT OFFICER CASELBERG Pilot Officer John Hart Caselberg, reported missing on active service, is the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Caselberg, of Karori, and a grandson of Mr; and Mrs. Alfred Caselberg,: of Masterton. Although not yet 20 years

of age, he has had a good deal of service in the Air Force, which he joined at the age of 18. He completed one operational tour not long ago, and recently returned to the Pacific area. Born in Masterton, he was educated at Hawera and later at Welesley College, Wellington, where he was head prefect. He has been a popular young figure in the field of sport, in which he showed conspicuous all-round ability at college, where he Avon championship titles. At the time of his enlistment he was on the staff of Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd. Until recently his father had been serving in the New Zealand Forces in the rank of major, prior to which he was an officer of the Karori and Makara Battalions of the Home Guard.
