FALSE PRETENCES
Gaven Donne, alias .Jack Don, labourer, 32, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's- Court today before Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., to a charge, of false pretences involving the uttering of a valueless cheque to a boarding-1 house keeper. f Detective-Sergeant Thompson said that the defendant was at present serving a sentence of two years' imprisonment for false/.; pretences. In the circumstances, ■ the Magistrate convicted and discharged the defendant. ' V
