Sir,—l purchased today one lamb's fry for Is and six tongues for Is 6d. Dojes the Government consider this in its index for the "cost of living" figures? Further, at the outbreak of war the cost of coal (State) was 3s 3d a bag. and is now 4s 3d—and nearly all dust. Is this to throw in the eyes of its opponents or down the throats of its supporters?—l am, etc., BEFUDDLED. • i
