READING FOR MEN OVERSEAS

Books and magazines for men serving overseas have been sent in large, numbers, but thousands more are wanted. In particular, more paper books—Penguins, Pelicans, White Circle novels, and similar series—have been asked for. The Country Library Service, as the agent of the National Patriotic Fund Board, is making an urgent appeal for books of this kind through the schools this week. Children are being asked to bring the books to school. It is hoped that every household will make a special effort to give one or two paper books. All that is necessary is to ask a school chna to take the books to school this week.
