97.72 PER CENT. COLLECTED

Continued war conditions have apparently not greatly affected the collection of city rates as compared with last year. The levy for the year was, £659,631, and to date £644,602 has been collected, approximately 97.72 of the total levy. It seems from previous experience that at March 31 at least last year's percentage at that date, 98.05 per cent., will have been collected. '
