AID TO RUSSIA VIA PERSIA
Rec 11.15 a.m. CAIRO, January 19. Captain R. M. Robbins, former traffic superintendent of the Persian State railway, said in a broadcast that 200,000 tons of material a month have been sent to Russia via the Persian Gulf routes _____
Mr Harold Cooper, who last month was appointed secretary to the Wellington Fire Board in succession to the late Mr. H. S. Fairchild, has also been appointed secretary to the New Zealand Fire Boards' Association. He is to take up the duties of both offices on February 1.
