ALLEGED AID TO PATRIOTS
LONDON, January 19. The Germans last November arrested Count Robert Devogue, proprietor of the champagne firm of Moet et Chandon, on an accusation that he had aided the French patriots. The secretary of the champagne industry association, in protest, appealed to the employees at Rheims and Epernay to cease work. The Germans, as a result, placed the firms of Moet et Chandon and Heidsieck under a German supervisor. ________^____
