CIVILIAN AMPUTEES' ASSOCIATION
The Wellington Provincial District Civilian Amputees' Association has been in existence only three mpnth.s and despite wartime difficulties much has been accomplished in furtherance of the objects for which it was formed. The membership has grown steadily, and the response to circulars sent to known amputees has been very gratifying, particularly so with country members. The Wellington Association is endeavouring to get civilian amputees in Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin sufficiently interested to establish similar associations, and when this has been accomplished to form a Dominion Association, with headquarters in Wellington. The association has specific objects; in view, as well as the bettering of conditions of the civilian amputee and1 cripple generally, and intends to foster the social spirit that so many amputees and cripples miss through their incapacitation. All civilian amputees who have i not yet joined the association are j requested to get in touch with the hon. secretary, 120 Onepu Road, Lyall Bay. „_______«._„»_,
