ANNIVERSARY DAY REGATTA

About 100 centreboard and' keel yachts have been entered for the Anniversary Day regatta, which will take place in Evans Bay on Saturday and Sunday next. From Evans Bay there will be about 50 yachts, from Worser Bay four, from Heretaunga 22, from Muritai five, from Paremata. 17, and from Plimmerton four. In the keeler events there will be a good field ot boats, many of whose owners belong to both Evans Bay and Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Clubs. Idle Alongs, as is usual in Wellington, form the biggest class. There will be 34 starting in the Holmes Cup race and .35 in the Steel Memorial Shield race. Sixteen Takapunas are entered for the Vernon Grove Memorial Cup race and ten fourteen-footers for the Inter-Club Cup. For the Taurariga Challege Cup 16 T class boats are entered. Eight Rona boats will compete in their class and six speedboats in the three cup races for them.
