SUNDAY OPERATIONS

Rec. 12.50 p.m. RY GBI', J^ 16^ Air activity across the Straits ot Dover was limited on Sunday to offensive patrols in the morning and afternoon by R.A.F. fighters. A small group of fighters came under anti-aircraft fire over the Calais area early in the afternoon. Gunfire was heard on the south-east coast of England just before the fighters were seen returning across the Channel. Later R.A.F. Typhoons were heard going out towards the French coast, flying very low. —8.0. W.
