ATTACK ON FORMOSA

Rec. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Jan. 16. An American raid on Formosa is announced in a New Delhi communique from General Stilwell. Liberators of the 14th United States Army Air Force ion Tuesday night dropped 12 tons of bombs, starting large fires. They encountered intense ground fire. .* Next night American planes raided Bangkok, dropping 15 tons of bombs. An aerodrome at Bangkok was also attacked.—B.O.W.
