BOMB ON CINEMA

LONE RAIDER OVER LONDON LONDON, January 15. When a bomb fell on a London suburban cinema last night seven persons were killed and 31 injured. A second bomb fell on a big drapery store. Both were of small calibre and were believed to have been dropped by a lone raider. The cinema was fairly full, but there was no panic, though the bomb crashed through the roof and fell Sirectly in the centre of the stalls. The audience walked out quietly. Shop windows on both sides of a main thoroughfare were shattered for a distance of 200 yards. The German plane which dropped the bomb apparently reached London with a force of British planes returning from Europe, and was therefore most difficult to identify, says the "Evening News."
