A wedding solemnised recently at St. Mark's Church, Dufferin Street, Wellington, united two old New Zealand pioneer families, the bride being Thelma Anne, the younger daughter of Mr. Adam Wright and the late Mrs. Wright, of Martinborough, and the bridegroom John Alfred McKenzie (on furlough), younger son of Mr. F. J. and the late Mrs. C. B. Gooder, of Eastbourne. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of beige crepe with halo cap to match and black i accessories and she carried a sheaf of i delphiniums and cornflowers. Mrs. J. IM. Scott (an old school friend of the bride's) was matron of honour and wore a picture frock of cornflower blue with matching halo cap, black accessories, and a sheaf of pink gladioli and carnations. The best man was Mr. Frank Futter, of Lower Hutt. A reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Wells, Coromandel Street, where a buffet breakfast was served. The bride and bridegroom left later for the south, the bride wearing a 4an linen frock, fawn coat, with hat, bag, and shoes to match. Their future home will be at Eastbourne.
