LIEUT. D. P. LINDSAY
Lieutenant D. P. Lindsay, who has been killed in action, was one of New Zealand's most distinguished sportsmen. He achieved considerable success as a swimmer and represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games'. A successful scholar, he graduated Bachelor of Arts in 1933 and took his M.A. degree three years later. Entering the teaching profession, he held positions at the Cathedral Grammar
School, Chrisfchurch, and the Dilworth Private School, Auckland, before joining the staff of the Dannevirke High School. He had been on special home service with the Army before joining the Middle East Forces.
