RIGHT-HAND RULE

REGULATION INTERPRETED

• Traffic regulations gazetted on De-J cember'S amend the existing provisions of-'the^-right-hand rule. To assist its members in interpreting the new regulation,, the Automobile Association (Wellington) has prepared information and a series of drawings which have been sent to all its members. The drawings depict vehicles in different positions at intersections and* explain the responsibility of the respective drivers. As the regulation, which is one. of the most important in the traffic regulations, must 'be observed by all motorists, the association is .making copies of its pamphlet available to all vehicle owners and operators. They can be < obtained from the office of the association. ■ Road safety, states the association, is the keynote of this new provision in the traffic regulations, and in view of I the increased traffic as a result of the release of more petrol it is in the interests of motorists that they should make themselves , conversant with the new rule.
