ROLE OF DIVISION

Sir,—r-Under the heading "Role of Division," the Official War Correspondent, N.Z.E.F. concludes a write-up of the New Zealand Division as follows: "One Cairo business man went so far as to say 'Now we will see results. Those New Zealand boys know how to fight.' The British and Indian troops of the Bth Army who fought their way without a spell from Egypt, through Libya, Tripoli, Tunisia, and Sicily to the north of the Sangro River in Italy would be very surprised to learn that they were waiting for the New Zealand Division, or any other division, to show them how to fight. Our Division does not need this kind of boost and the men who comprise it would be the first to deplore any implied slur on their comrades of the Bth Army."—l am, etc, SAILOR.
