PENNANT COMPETITIONS Another series of matches in the Wellington Bowling Centre's pennant competitions ..was played on Saturday afternoon. Results were: Senior Grade.—Section A: Island Bay beat Newtown by 3 games to 1; Thorndon beat Wellington, 2#>-l^; Hataitai beat Seatoun, 3-I;.Petone beat Lyall Bay, 3%-%. Section B: Newtown drew with Lyall Bay, 2-2; Thorndon beat Karori, 3-1; Central beat Hataitai, 3-1; Wellington beat Seatoun, 4-1. Section C: Porirua beat Khandallah, 3-1; Karori drew with Island Bay, 2-2; Petone beat Eastbourne, 4-0; Woburn beat Victoria, 4-0. Section D: Newtown drew with Central, 2,-2; Hataitai beat Lyall Bay, 3-1; Seatoun beat Wellington, 3-1; Upper Hutt drew with Thorndon, 2-2. Junior.—Section A: Victoria beat Newtown, Island Bay beat Central, Wellington beat Seatoun, Woburn beat Karori. Section B: Newtown beat Petone, Wellington beat Island Bay, Khandallah beat Lyall Bay, Seatoun won by default from Thorndon.
