BOWLING CONTROL

The executive committee of the Wellington Bowling Centre decided ■ last night to leave the draw for the champion matches and the arranging of greens to the tournament committee. On behalf of the tournament committee, the president of the centre, Mr. J. Norrie, reported that arrangements had been made for the final of the Christmas fours tournament to be played at Wellington, arid the final of the New Year pairs tournament at Hataitai. He added that the official testing of bowls had been started at the centre's headquarters. It was decided to adopt for fixtures under the centre's control the dispensation as regards bowling costume giyen by the New Zealand Bowling Association to meet cases of difficulty in obtaining normal outfits. Official visits by centre representatives are to be paid to Eastbourne on January 30, Upper Hutt on February 13, Porirua on February 27, and Otaki on March 12.
