MOUNTAIN BATTLE

(By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright.) Rec. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 9.

MIKHAILOVITCH FORCES

Heavy fighting in the past few days against German Ustachi and Bulgarian units is announced by General Mikhailovitch's headquarters, says a Cairo message. A battle is raging in the Tara mountains on the right bank of the Drina'River. The enemy aims to cut off General Mikhailovitch's forces in Serbia from those in Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. General Mikhailovitch's forces still occupy Visegrad, Zvornik, and the lower reaches of the Drina River. There is sharp fighting in Bosnia and Montenegro. Smaller Mikhailovitch detachments which have crossed the Danube and' broken into the Banat provinces are making the first guerrilla attack in this region, which is unfavourable for guerrilla warfare.
