The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, reports that at its usual weekly- sale poultry maintained late rates, while there was an exceptionally keen demand for fruit and vegetables. Quotations: — Poultry: Best liens 5s 8d to 7s, light 2s 3d to 4s 6d; young ducks, 6s to 9s 3d; old ducks, 3s to 4s sd; roosters, 4s lOd to 7s; heavy cockerels to Cs, medium 2s lOd to 3s 9d; cockerel chicks, Sd to 2s; pullets, ss. 3d to 7s Cd; turkey liens, to 12s Cd; turkey gobblers, to 21s; liens nnd chicks, to 21a 6d. Produce: Asparagus, Is 4d to Is 6d per bunch; green peas, Is 3d to Is 6d per lb; lettuce, prime 16s to 18s per case, medium 10s to 14s, Inferior 3s to Cs; cabbages, 27s per cwt; cauliflowers, sacks 14s to 22s 6d, cases 9s to 12s Cd; pumpkins, 36a per sack; rhubarb, Is to Is 6d per bunch; spring onions, 2s to 3s 6d per bunch; radishes, 3s to 4s pet dozen bunches; carrots, 20s to 27s per cwt; parsnips,' to 20s; beetroot, 5s to 7s 6d per case; leeks, 8s to 10s per case; spinach, 10s to 14s per case. __^
