A MOTHER'S THANKS
HERE AND THERE
HELP IN TIME OF NEED
The following is an extract from a letter, typical of many received by the Smith Family, expressing appreication of the help given by this organisation:
"I wish," this mother wrote, "to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for the help and assistance that has been granted to myself and family over the past twelve months. I must confess I was at a loss to meet the situation when I was informed that I was to have" twins, and it was with grateful thanks owing to your assistance I was able to complete the layette for the second baby. I also want to thank the Smith Family for the loan of a twin pram, which enables me to take my babes out for walks. Then there was the holiday in Napier, four restful weeks which made me realise we mothers with families are thought something- of by at least one organisation. That holiday was something I have often dreamed of, but its reality seemed to be drifting further in the distance. The holiday enabled me to come home in a fit state of health to do justice to my duty of rearing my six children. Again I wish to thank you and I do hope some day I shall be able to reciprocate."
