MILITARY PROMOTIONS
Military appointments and pi-omo-tions gazetted this week included the following:—Staff: Lieutenant-Colonel N Potter to be colonel; LieutenantColonel D. T. Maxwell, A.D.C., 2nd N.Z.E.F., is granted the temporary rank of colonel whilst holding an appointment as commandant of a staff college. New Zealand Medical Corps: Lieuten-ant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) M. B. M. Tweed is transferred to the reserve of officers. Central Military District, at his own request, with the rank of colonel. Central Office (Eastern Group), India: Lieutenant (temp. Captain) D. I. Strickland is granted the temporary rank of major while holding an appointment as Deputy Assistant Director of Ordnance Services, Central Provision Office (Eastern Group) in India.
