Lyall Bay Soldiers' Parcels. Residents of Lyall Bay and Kilbirnie are reminded of a "coin afternoon" which is being arranged by the ladies of St. Giles' Church on Wednesday next, October 13, at 2.30 p.m. in St. Giles' .Hall.: The speaker will be Sister Waldie, who has been on service overseas. The proceeds are urgently needed for soldiers' parcels. Annual Gift Tea. Lady Lake will open, the annual gift tea at the Levin Memorial Home at 3 o'clock on Thursday, October 14. Ngaio Children Help Red Cross. On a recent Saturday six small children in Ngaio held a very successful shop day, as a result of which they handed £5 10s to the committee of the local Red Cross sub-centre. The money will be spent on some extra comforts for sick and wounded returned soldiers in hospital. The children are Margery and Barbara Ingley, Denys and Megan Daniell, Barbara King,, and Barry Maitingley,
