U.S. GOLD LOAN FOR CHINA
CHUNGKING, October 7
A Chinese Government spokesman announced that arrangements had been completed with the United States Government for the release of £200,000,000 worth of gold. The spokesman said that presumably the gold was already on its way to China. Negotiations for a similar amount from Britain were not yet concluded.
