REHABILITATION

DIRECTOR APPOINTED

* LIEUT.-COL F. BAKER The appointment of LieutenantColonel F. Baker, D.5.0., as Director of Rehabilitation was announced this afternoon by the Minister in Charge of Rehabilitation (Major C. F. Skinner). Lieutenant-Colonel Baker is at present undergoing further treatment in Christchurch for a wound he received on active service. In 1942 he was appointed officer1 commanding the Maori Battalion, succeeding the late Lieur

tenant-Colonel E. T. W. Love, who was killed in action, and was later invalided back to New Zealand. . He went overseas with the Second Echelon. In civil life he was on the staff of the State Advances Corporation. His wife', Mrs. E. M.' Baker, lives in Wellington.
