ALLIED SUBMARINES

Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, October 5. The Netherlands Admiralty announced that the "Dutch submarine Dolphin, operating with the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean, torpedoed and sunk an enemy transport of 9000 tons and destroyed two German transport barges by gunfire. The Commander-in-Chief of the Greek 1 Navy announces that the submarine Katsonis has been sunk. The iKatsonis has played a great part in the jfight for her country's freedom, operating chiefly in the Aegean and Adriatic. She scored many notable successes and sunk or damaged many thousands of tons of enemy shipping. Her exploits included entering an enemy-occupied harbour to torpedo transports.—B.O.W.
