GENERAL IN A HURRY

Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, October 5. General Clark, after dismissing a jeep because he "wanted some speed," climbed into a tiny communications plane and ordered the pilot to land as near as possible to the centre of Naples. The plane flew down the length of the Corso Umberto 50 feet above the ground, and landed in the square near the railway station. General Clark stepped out an hour ahead of schedule.
