MONSTER BOOBY TRAP
Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, October 5. Palermo radio says that units of the -Eighth Army made contact with German rearguard troops on the Volturno River line. A correspondent of the Associated Press of .Great Britain with the Fifth Army says that the discovery of a 17001b booby trap in a Naples hotel probably saved the lives of General Clark and oQier high officers, American and British. Engineers found the explosives yesterday while inspecting the building, where General Clark intends to establish the Fifth Army headquarters.
