SMUTS IN ENGLAND
Rec. 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, October 5. The Prime Minister of South Africa, Field-Marshal Smuts,-has arrived in Britain for consultations and discussions. He is making a visit at the invitation of the Government, and will act as .a member ,pf the War Cabinet, while in England. He was greeted at the aerodrome on his arrival by Lord Cranbourne and the chiefs of the fighting services, also by Lord Wavell, with whom he had a long conversation.—p.p.W.
