LONDON, September 22,
Admiral Mountbattcn's South-east Asia Command, says Reuter, extends over French Xndo-China, Thailand, Malaya, Sumatra, and Burma. It excludes India and Persia. The boundary then just misses the tip of Arbaia and runs south to Albatross Island, thence south-eastward, avoiding Rodriguez Island, and thus excluding Madagascar, Reunion, and the Mauritius Group.
The eastern boundary goes due south from Singapore to the north coast of Sumatra and thence round the east coast of Sumatra'to a point 104 degrees east on the coast of Sumatra, then down to latitude 8 degrees south, thence south-east towards Onslow and, when longitude 110 is reached, due south along it.
