A PPLICATIONS are invited from registered —jL medical practitioners, male or female, for the following full-time positions on the Board's medical staff:— (a) Medical Registrar (one) and Surgical Registrar (one) for the Hutt Valley Hospital, for the year 1944, each at a salary of £550 per annum, living in. In the event of a successful applicant being married and desiring to live out, consideration will be given to payment of a living-out allowance. Duties commence January 1, 1944; if the Hutt Valley Hospital is not open at this date, successful applicants will be expected to carry out in the interim such appropriate duties in the Board's "service as the Medical Superintendent of the Wellington Hospital may direct; during such time, if quarters are not available, a living-out allowance at the rate of £156 per annum will be paid. Applicants for the position of Surgical Registrar must be capable of undertaking emergency general surgery. (b) Junior Medical Registrar (one) and Junior Surgical Registrar (one) for the Wellington Hospital, for the year 1944, each at a salary of £450 per annum, if quarters are provided; if quarters are not provided, a livingout allowance of £156 per annum will be paid in addition. Duties commence January 1, 1944. Candidates niay apply for more than one of the above positions, but should indicate clearly in their applications the positions applied for. Each appointment is for one year in the first instance. The Board reserves the right, at its discretion, not to fill any of the positions.
