TO PLAY FOR R.A.F.
(Special P.A. Correspondent.) Rec. noon. LONDON, Sept. 20. The good form shown by Flying Officer Eric Grant (Gisborne) and Flight Sergeant I. Dustin (Palmerston North) in the North South Island Rugby match on September 18, which the North won, has resulted in both being selected to play for the R.A.F. against South Wales at Swansea on September 25.
Grant, who played for Scotland last season, captained the North Islanders in Saturday's game, playing centre-three-quarter, and paved the way for five tries.
Dustin, who is a forward, scored one of these tries. It was a typical earlyseason match, and indicated that New Zealand should be able to field a good team during the coming season, providing the players can get leave. At present they lack a good hooker.
