SALE OF LIQUOR
A sentence of fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour was imposed by Mr. J.L. Stout, S.M.-, m the Magistrate's Court today upon Robert Tremarco, 18, galley boy, and John Kenneth Thomas, 26, ship's - steward, who pleaded guilty, to selling liquor without a licence. One of them said they did it to get money to buy some things to take home., Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine said that they were seen in Lambton Quay on Saturday • night selling a bottle of whisky to a marine for £3.
