YESTERDAY IN PARLIAMENT

There was a clearance of three Bills from the order paper during the afternoon sitting of the House of Representatives yesterday, the measures passed being the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Amendment Bill, the Canterbury Jewish Cemetery Empowering Bill, and ■Uie Reserves and other Lands Disposal Bill.
