ATTACKS ON JAPANESE

RUGBY. August 7

Strong formations of Liberators of the United States Fourteenth Air Force, based in China, raided dock installations and repair yards in Hong Kong on Thursday, according to a news agency message. They met with no fighter opposition and no Liberators were damaged.

An Allahabad message quotes Chungking as reporting that American planes attacked railway targets in Burma. One railway station was damaged and at other places railway tracks and rolling stock were destroyed. One American plane is missing.

The Chungking communique states that Chinese units have launched an attack against the enemy in southern Hupeh.
