FIFTY PLACES LIBERATED
LONDON, August 3. The Russian armies on the Orel front have won another important success to the south of the city. The Moscow communique announces that they nave captured the railway station of Spisn, only five miles from Orel. For some days the Russians have been battling towards S' Ish, the last station on the main railway up from Kursk.
East of Orel, they have taken another station only seven miles away. In general, the Russians today gamed four to six miles on different sectors and captured more than 50 places. On the Donets front, south-west ot Voroshilovgrad, the communique reports that the Germans have stopped their attacks on the Russian bridgehead consequent on their heavy losses in the recent fighting.
