Last week 222 towns attained their weekly quotas of national war savings, this being an increase of ten over the preceding week. All principal centres and seventeen of the eighteen postal districts attained their objectives. In a collision between a motor-car and a bicycle he was riding on Woburn Road last evening Mr. J. Kirkland carpenter, 34 Fitzherbert Street, Lower Hutt, had his left leg fractured. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
